"In This Land" thread
Spoilers in this post.

Once you've finished reading this week's update, come on over here to talk about:

Kudorin and Xio Voe

Rini and T'rin

Anosanim and Ritek

Talin and his hair

The brainwashed carriage driver*

And whatever else you want to mention!

*He must have been brainwashed. I doubt that Kudorin wanted the general panic of the carriage driver (let's call him CD) stopping to let them out and discovering that they're gone and then freaking out about losing the pharaoh and The Heir, because even if Kudorin's citizens are used to him being eccentric, CD's still going to panic all over Orikodisata. So my theory is that Kudorin scrubbed CD's brain a little and suggested to him that he was merely driving an empty carriage back to the stables. Because outright telling him, "I'm leaving and I'm taking Heir Xio Voe with me because I'm too turned on to stay here and we're going to my room to crawl all over each other," might start rumors.

Kudorin and Xio Voe: Love those two. Also, loved the Remin and XV scene. "I’m capable of ruling any country in this world. Any empire, for that matter." The way that Remin is so casually arrogant/assured of himself right here is amazing. I know that Remin is right about that statement, and that he probably just said it bluntly because XV dislikes round-about statements, but that touch of arrogance is still fantastic.

Rini and T'rin: I really liked Rini's speech. I'm also not sure if he realized that he's figured out his purpose in life. (He was kind of angst-ing about it way back when the suitors were first introduced). T'rin was particularly laconic in this chapter- but Rini talks enough for both of them. I assume the fierce, aggressive sex was actually his version of dealing with stress and fear for Rini's life. I can't say that I'm surprised that he immediately bent to Kudorin's decision.

Anosanim and Ritek: It's kind of cute. Ritek seems to be quite the perfect guy for Anosanim, (after all, he speaks product). I can't wait to see the other brother's reactions to this development. (I distinctly remember certain brothers, especially Desin and Selorin, worrying about Anosanim, and how Ritek would treat him).

Talin and his hair: I fear for the hair. Once Hitari stops distracting Talin, Talin is going to make a beeline for the nearest pair of scissors. Or, perhaps Hitari will distract Talin long enough for Anosanim to see. And then all bets are off.

The brainwashed carriage driver: Either Kudorin has brainwashed a lot of carriage drivers (because I doubt that this is the first time Kudorin has done this), or the carriage drivers have all been informed not to declare a state of emergency when the Pharaoh (and guests) go missing. Just like the people that work in the palace have probably been told to not worry too much if the carpets change color or doors go missing. Kudorin has been ruling for four years now, and the staff are probably getting used to the strange happenings of the palace and its divine inhabitants.

OMG, I thought T'rin was going to dump Rini because he was being so stern. I was horrified, but consoled myself with thoughts of all the delicious angst, closely followed by volcanic make-up sex that would ensue. The actual sex that ensued was hot, too!

Anosanim wears full make-up and heels to the gym, doesn't he?
