IM [Jan. 6th, 2007|03:47 pm] I knew it. I knew that this brilliant idea to use Yahoo! IM would do this to me. I want to be more available, to interact more with readers. So I thought, hey, IM would be good. Except that once a conversation begins, it's hard to stop it. People are friendly, and I keep meeting new people/learning new things about old friends. My IM conversations insist on being interesting, gosh darn it! But it keeps breaking into my writing time. Which, you know, is obviously a problem. So I kind of need the people I'm talking to, to be less interesting. If you guys could say hi, exchange a few pleasantries, and then tell me that you have to go take out the trash now but you'll catch me later, that'd be great. link 2 comments|post comment
