1. Someone should keep me and Steph away from each other, because she mentioned something she'd written, and I took it in a Very Wrong Direction, and she's jumped on the idea, and I'm only encouraging her, and we must be stopped. Although she did just promise to send me Backstreet merchandise, which means that I'll never let anyone come between us.
2. I'm talking contract negotiation stuff with two different publishers. This has never happened to me before. It's exciting, and new, and I want to take the right steps and do the right things. It's hard for me to balance looking out for my own interests versus simply being excited that someone actually wants to publish my work. One of them is really strategizing about how and when to publish what, and I'm like, wow, this is actually happening. I've also learned a new word: mangaka. (Although should it be "manga-ka?")
3. You're clean people, right? How do you clean your tub and/or shower? Should I try some fancy new product?
4. The Human Rights Campaign just e-mailed me with this: In Detroit last week, 72-year-old Andrew Anthos was riding on a city bus and was asked by a fellow passenger if he was gay. The passenger then followed Mr. Anthos off the bus and attacked him with a metal pipe. Mr. Anthos died from his injuries Friday night and according to media reports, police are continuing the investigation without any solid leads. What is so incredibly wrong with you that you'd beat a 72-year-old man to death? |
