The bathroom has been cleaned. First, I sprinkled around some Ajax (at Kim's insistence), followed by a nice, even spread of Soft Scrub with Bleach. (Thank you to Elizabeth K. for providing details on application and use.) Then I added some generic brand foaming cleanser to the problem areas, since I already had that on hand, and let that sit. After that, it was just a matter of some nice, cheerful scrubbing, and now the tub sparkles.
Thank you all for your advice! I'm quite helped and informed.
In other news, I just tried an exfoliating face wash. I've been using a variety of Irish Spring to wash my face for years, but I keep hearing rumors about how you're supposed to make some sort of effort to pamper your face with special products, so I was like, eh, whatever, I guess, let's try it. Dude. It's like rubbing sand and pebbles on your face. What's that about? That doesn't feel good.
Spending money is strange when I think of it in terms of ITL subcription payments, because a subscription is $1.99/month. Of which I get $1.63 or $1.61, depending on where you live. (PayPal charges a fee for each transaction.) Viewing my income as a series of $1.63 installments really makes me hesitate before I buy anything.
