Who else can't believe that I forgot to cover this point yesterday?
Thank you guys, seriously, very very much, for thinking that ITL is worth more than you're paying for it. That's an awesome, terrific, fantastic thing to say, and you're awesome, terrific, fantastic people for saying it.
It would be great if I could charge more. The thing is, though, that I want ITL to be available to as many people as possible. Some people have told me that they can barely afford it, as it is.
If I raised the price, I'd lose readers, and I can't do that. (And I'd like to think that the low, low price of $1.99 will make it easier for people to say yes. Does it?)
Maybe my problem is that I'm so used to giving fiction away for free, I'm not yet comfortable charging for it. And I have no idea how much my work is worth; how do you judge that sort of thing?
I have to get used to saying this, so let me practice now: if you'd like to pay more for ITL than I'm currently charging, or if you'd just like to pay me for writing in general, maybe because you've enjoyed hours of reading pleasure, maybe because you want to support writing, or maybe just because you found extra change on the floor, I do accept donations.
