"In This Land"
Xio Voe just rattled the unflappable Orinakin A Nimi. Dude. What's up with that?

I don't know, but I'm feeling pretty rattled myself!

I tell ya that Heir Voe is such a harsh character to read so far. The whole land is really. It seems the only time they open up is when they're caring for the sick. It's unnerving to go from a colorful world where everyone is happy and honest to this one where everything is coldness and resentment. Everyone is so restrained and secretive. Even the sex was held back!

I can't wait to learn more. I wonder if this book is really Kudorin's, because it looks like it's going to take a while to get the chill off of the relationship between these two countries... let alone two men. Especially when one of them either has no emotion or is very very good at hiding it.

(P.S. You completely ruined my ice cream! I was so caught up in that interrogation scene that I barely tasted what I was eating I was going so fast.)

I'm still hoping it's Kudorin's, especially now that you mention getting "the chill off of the relationship between these two countries." How do you end the standoff/blood-feud between two warring clans/families in literature? A marriage, of course! If it is their book, their union will probably take place first, to act as a major catalyst for the two nations to start cooperating in a more genuine way. It's always easier to unite two people than two countries. Besides, I don't know who has the best chance to melt icy Voe except Kudorin.
